Why I started the blog
I’m a perfectionist living a perfectly, imperfect life. I have spent so much of my life worrying about what other people think of me. This is probably why it has taken me so long to start a blog but I’m learning to just be me and not worry so much about everyone else. I want this blog to be a place where we can all be authentic. I don’t want to put glitter and sparkles on my life and pretend that everything is great. Although I love my life some people may see it as boring and uneventful. I don’t get to travel, I don’t have a perfectly decorated house, I don’t make awesome home cooked meals or special treats and I don’t have perfect children (although they are awesome). I do my best to be a good mom.
I am a wife to an engineer who is exactly 8 days younger than me. I will never let him forget that I am the oldest!
I am a mother of two wonderful children; Bubbadoodle and Roarinator. Bubbadoodle is the sweetest, most sensitive, little boy ever. I never realized how easy of a baby he was until his little sister came along. Roarinator is seriously a handful and gets into everything. They are definitely complete opposites and I look forward to capturing both of their personalities in this blog.
I was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH and I have such pride for this city that I am so excited to be raising my children here. You will definitely see posts about all things Cincinnati and Ohio. Another thing I love about this city is all of the history. My husband would certainly say I love all things old. I would say I love things that have a story to tell.
I am a lover of the outdoors and recently found a love for kayaking. I drive a Ford F150 that I love and I love that it is totally unexpected.
Lastly, I am currently on a journey to rediscover my faith. I’ve never strayed too far but I did get a little lost. I now have total faith in God and am willing to let him guide me to discover my true purpose in life.
